Essel World, Mumbai (Landmark Review)

Title – Essel World mein Rahunga Me, Ghar Nahi Jaunga Me… J
Rating – 5 (Excellent)

Known worldwide as Paradise for Kids, this place without doubt is actually a Paradise but not only for kids but also for teenagers and adults. World class swings, amazing rides and pure ambience with songs playing all around the premises of Essel World makes you feel as if you’re somewhere else and not in this World. The place is away from hustle and bustle of Mumbai and peacefully located on shoreline of the Gorai Beach. To quote an example, when you go from Bangkok City to Coral Island on a ferry ride, the same way, you go from Gorai Beach to Essel World after ferry ride of 15-20 minutes (cost of ferry ride is 50 Rs. per head to be paid at the ticket counter of Essel World).

Being there is a lifetime experience and you become a Kid again automatically and run here and there for rides, swings and dance to the tunes of bollywood songs (such is the charisma of the park). I literally enjoyed all the rides and most of them for the first time. Whereas few rides are really dangerous yet safe the others makes you feel amazing. It’s not easy to remember name of each and every ride but the memories that you make there are to stay for a long time.

The second phase of Essel World is even fascinating as it is Water Kingdom (Buy combo ticket from the ticket counter to enjoy both the phases of the park). World class water slides, pools and water activities attract visitors and one can enjoy swimming, dancing, rain dance, slides and open pool activities there. Enjoyed a lot and wanted to go back again as the theme song rightly said: “Essel World mein rahunga me, Ghar nahi jaunga me”.

Full marks to management for maintaining it so well and at par with International standards even after so many years. Thanks for that. Jeeyooo… (Visited on 26th Oct. 2015)
